This FAQ is dedicated to answering the most common questions about Flight Planning with the DUAT system.
Q1. How do I file Domestic Flight Plans?A. Use the File FP link from the main page. The form that opens includes all the fields that are necessary to file a standard, domestic flight plan with the DUAT system. (Note: this topic will include additional information soon!) Back to TopQ2. How do I file ICAO (International) Flight Plans?A. Use the ICAO FP link from the main page. The ICAO Flight Plan form that opens has more entries than the domestic flight plan form that will allow you to file an ICAO flight plan. (Note: this topic will soon include additional information describing the main items that cause difficulties on the ICAO flight plan form.) Back to TopQ3. How should I use the Flight Planner?A. This topic is being written and will be available soon. Back to TopQ4. What's the difference between the Flight Planner and the Flight Log?A. The Flight Planner is more full-featured than the older Flight Log function. The Flight Log was a simple feature to compute basic flight information without regard to your particular aircraft. The Flight Planner includes additional capabilities, such as the ability to compute climb and descent times and fuel burn (based on data that you enter about your aircraft). The Flight Planner also fully integrates with the DTC Routing features that allow you to generate the shortest path Jet/Victor airway routes. Back to Top |
